Waylon Salon & Boutique opened in October of 2016 by Owner and Stylist Alli Hayes.
Waylon—meaning a piece of land by way of road—is nestled in the heart of Bird Rock in La Jolla, California. We are located close to the ocean, surrounded by some of the best shopping boutiques and restaurants in town.
Alli has devoted her professional life to achieving excellence as a successful business woman and hair designer. She is known for her energetic personality and close client relationships.
Kylie has always had a love for hair that started at a very young age and she learned early that hard work and dedication were going to be key to reaching her goals.
Hailey began her career in San Diego in 1999. She was apprentice trained, then continued her education at Vidal Sassoon, where she crafted precision haircutting, and innovative hair coloring.
Jessica started her career in the hair industry in 2007 by attending Paul Mitchell the School in downtown San Diego. She assisted top stylists in La Jolla before becoming an independent hair stylist.
Growing up in Santa Cruz California gave Amber a great appreciation for the beach. So when she decided to move to San Diego for her education she was positive it would be an easy transition.
Abby Barlow is a mid-west native, who received her cosmetology license from the Douglas J. Aveda Institute in East Lansing, Michigan. In the summer of 2005, Abby’s career began at the high end Aveda Salon.
New to the hair industry Patrice is a local to San Diego graduated from cosmetology school in 2014. Straight out of school she continued her education by assisting Unite Academy, working beside global stylists.
Alyssa, a native of San Diego, has been in the industry for 5 years. Having a passion for all things beauty, Alyssa spends her time as both the front face and behind the scenes at Waylon. Her welcoming personality is always exhibited.
Dom specializes in vivids, balayage, extensions, and is accomplished in working with hair of all textures. A stylist for 8 years, she is passionate about the industry and its ever-evolving nature that keeps her inspired and challenged.
